MARTINDALE HUBBELL AV ® PEER REVIEW RATING:
Jeffrey V. Melcher has received an AV® Peer Review Rating, the highest possible rating based on legal ability and ethical standards from Martindale-Hubbell.
The Components of a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating
Martindale-Hubbell ratings are determined for attorneys through a peer review process, and have two components - the Legal Ability Rating and the General Ethical Standards Rating. The Legal Ability rating evaluates an attorney's standard of professional ability in their practice area. The General Ethical Standards Rating is an indication of attorney's standards of conduct and ethics. The only rating available is a "V", which stands for "very high." An attorney must receive this General Ethical Standards Rating order to receive a Legal Ability Rating.
Legal Ability Ratings
Based on peer reviews, three ratings are available for a lawyer's standard of professional ability. An "A" is given if an attorney is deemed to have "very high to preeminent" legal ability. A "B" identifies an attorney is deemed to have "high to very high" legal ability, and a "C" is given if an attorney is deemed to have "good to high" legal ability. An attorney must be a member of the bar for at least 10 years to be eligible for an AV Rating.
Jeff Melcher's "AV" certification mark from Martindale-Hubbell is a significant ratings accomplishment and testimony to the fact that both judges and attorneys throughout Georgia have rated him at the highest possible level of legal professional experience and expertise.
